My trip to the Holy Land was one of the most amazing trips I have taken. I enjoyed every minute of it as I was immersed into the culture and history of Jerusalem. The food was spectacular and the people were warm and friendly. I want to thank Jack for encouraging me to join the trip and for providing a great introduction to Israel & Jordan.

This tour brought me wonderful memories that will last a life time. The boat ride on the Sea of Galilee was breathtaking and floating in the Dead Sea was something I wanted to do since a child. The Jerusalem quarters are something all faiths should experience.

This was a trip of a lifetime and I made 22 new friends. I had heard all the hype about why not to go - "it's dangerous, not safe, 3rd world country" etc. Well I'm here to tell you that I never felt safer. The sights, the sounds, the smells, the food of the Holy Land - it was all so amazing!

Hike the Holy Land hosted by Jack Witt will go down on my book as one of the top trips of my lifetime. I usually don’t go on structured tours, but decided to try this one out. I was impressed with the convenience a structured tour provides. It eliminates many of the less desirable tasks such as having to check into hotels, hailing down taxi’s or figuring out where and how to get to a location if renting a car, parking, paying entrance fees, standing in lines to get into at parks and tourist attractions, airport transportation to/from airports. But more importantly, this tour was structured to ensure we were safe and sound, felt very safe traveling throughout Israel, West Bank and Jordan and didn’t have to worry about going through the checkpoints. The tour guides were excellent. Their storytelling on the culture and history of the land entertained us throughout the tour. They encouraged conversation, demonstrated enthusiasm and answered our questions to make this an exciting learning experience. Top marks for the accommodations, stayed at 5-star hotels throughout Israel that offered amazing breakfast and dinner buffets! I highly recommend this tour to anyone that has an interest in seeing the Holy Land.

The Holy Land was astonishing! The Holy Land was humbling! The Holy Land was exhilarating! The Holy Land was absolute perfection! Given everything that was included in our Hike the Holy Land Tour package, the price was an extremely good value.

The trip to the Holy Land was very rewarding fo rme. In Israel, I was so glad to see how Israeli and Arab women work together in the Cana area in order to promote peace. The city of Caesarea brought back so many childhood memories, I grew up on a kibbutz there , which is right next door to the ancient roman amphitheater. So much has changed in a good way in Israel over the last 40 years since I left to live in America. There's been so much progress, I hardlyrecognized my beloved Israel. But I loved it and loved each day on the Hike the Holy Land Tour!

Spring of 2016 brought a great deal of excitement to our home. My husband William and I decided to join Jack Witt for a unique and unforgettable active tour of the Holy Land and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. I decided that Jack would be the perfect guide as I was already acquainted with him and had met some of the other potential travelers on local hikes in Southern California. We met as a group in Tel Aviv. There were only 23 of us plus our on site host and a wonderful local videographer. The small group and comfortable accommodations made the trip very special. Usually I am not a “group tour” traveler, but I am so glad we joined this group. By the end of the tour and our farewell dinner, we were a big, happy family. Israel was amazing. From the Mediterranean beaches and ancient city of Jaffa, we traveled up the coast to the Roman era Caesarea. A beautiful hike in Northern Israel with views of Lebanon in the distance and a glass of wine from local winery topped off our day. We were so cozy and comfortable staying in a kibbutz on the Sea of Galilee. After a morning boat excursion, we enjoyed sightseeing and another breath taking hike. Hiking up Masada and floating in the Dead Sea were also included in our busy schedule. Topping off the trip was a tour through Jerusalem’s old walled city center. There really aren’t words to describe how I felt walking under the city in our special tour through the tunnel excavations. Walking the ramparts of the Ottoman era walls gave us a great perspective on the city, the old and the new.

Jordan may have only been about 72 hours long, but we had a lifetime of experiences that we will both treasure. My husband is an amateur photographer, and Jordan was a non stop opportunity to capture amazing photos. From the unspoiled Roman ruins of Jerash to the UNESCO world heritage gem that is Petra, it was a feast for the eyes and the soul. Even a quick jaunt into Wadi Rum was priceless. The best treasure Jordan has is its people. The warmest, most hospitable and generous people I have had the pleasure of meeting.

If it wasn’t for Jack Witt, honestly I probably would have been hesitant to go on this trip. His knowledge and travel skills are excellent. Jack knows how to put together a great trip with a great group of people. We will definitely book another tour with Jack in the future.

My trip to Israel was a blessing. I never thought I would be traveling outside the continent! I enjoyed seeing some of the places from the Bible and enjoyed learning about Israel's people, customs, landscapes, languages, and the different colorful cultures.

Our group was terrific! We all got along so well and our guide, photographer and bus driver was the best! They treated us Iike we had been friends for years.

I have to say I returned a different person with a greater sense of peace.

My first trip to the Holy Land was nothing short of magnificent! The pages of my Bible and history books came to life as we hiked, sailed and explored this ancient land. Our guide was highly knowledgeable and filled our trip with so many details of the people and the land that added a very personal dimension to the journey.

I loved the contrasts of the visit - from gathering herbs on the hiking trail for tea to the traditional floating on the Dead Sea - from exploring an ancient Roman aqueduct to the marketplace in Tel Aviv - from visiting an isolated Palestinian village to the majestic Old City of Jerusalem - I could go on and on. The trip was educational and inspiring. I am ready for Hike the Holy Land #2.

Boat Ride on the Sea of Galilee

4Ladies SeaGalilee

The Sea of Galilee, where Jesus practiced his ministry, is a calm, serene lake in the Galilee region of Israel. We'll take a boat ride and get a demonstration of how people fished in biblical times. There will also be quiet time for reflection in the middle of the lake as the captain turns the engine off, and then some dancing to lively music.
